Jay Sciortino, Partner

Jay entered the insurance profession in 1978 with Aetna Casualty & Surety in the Claim Department. Throughout his 14 years with Aetna, he gained a wealth of experience in multi-line claim handling, from personal lines to the most complex issues such as contractual claims, products and latent health issues. He was promoted through the ranks and achieved a manager's position in 1991.

Jay joined Marquis & Associates in 1992 as Vice President of Claims and Loss Prevention, and at that time also became a partner in the firm. At Marquis, he established a working claim department designed to address the unique contractual and claim issues inherent in the construction industry.

In 1997, Willis purchased Marquis & Associates and Jay continued as Vice President of Claims. Because of his level of experience, his role was expanded to assist other Willis offices with their complex client and claim issues. In 2001, as a result of his proven effectiveness in overall account management, he was appointed Senior Vice President and New Jersey Construction Practice Leader.

At Construction Risk Partners, Jay continues to be at the forefront of addressing client's needs. Recognizing the importance of industry involvement, he is very active in key contractor associations. Jay was elected as an associate member to the Board of the Associated General Contractors of NJ. He continues to sit on the safety committees of both the AGC and the UTCA. Jay graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1978 with a BS degree in Economics & Finance. He earned his CPCU designation in 1991.
